Keeping It Simple: My Current Live Bass Gear Setup

When it comes to my bass gear, I believe in keeping things simple but effective. My setup is straightforward, reliable, and gives me the tone and power I need without any unnecessary complications. Here’s what I’m currently using:

Bass Guitar: Ibanez SR305E

This bass is a perfect fit for me. Its beautiful finish, heavy-duty body, and playing comfortability deliver a punchy, well-rounded tone. The passive electronics give me plenty of tonal flexibility.

Pre-amp: Peavey MiniMax V2 600-watt Lightweight Bass Head

I love this pre-amp because it’s compact but packs a serious punch. At 600 watts, it has all the headroom I need for both practice and live performances. It delivers a clean, powerful sound while still allowing me to shape my tone exactly how I want it.

Bass Cabinet: Peavey Headliner 210 – 2×10″ 400-watt Bass Cabinet

The Peavey Headliner 210 is a solid, no-nonsense cab that gets the job done. It delivers clear, punchy low-end while maintaining definition and clarity. It’s also portable, which is a huge plus when traveling for gigs.

My setup proves that you don’t need a massive rig to get a great sound. With the right gear choices, I have everything I need to cut through the mix and deliver a killer performance every time.
